WWRL WILL CONDUCT A LIVE INTERACTIVE RADIO BROADCAST ON APRIL 16, 2011 April 5, 2011 - WWRL 1600 AM, New York's progressive radio station will host a live 5-hour interactive on-air broadcast on Saturday, April 16, 2011, 12-5p from its studios in New York City. The program titled 'Win The Future, A Conversation on Jobs, Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness" will be moderated by renowned journalists Rennie Bishop, Professor Ron Daniels and Ellis Henican, columnist for Newsday. General Manager, Adriane Gaines says, "With jobs, budget cuts and the overall changing employment environment, we felt it was particularly important to provide an expanded forum for the community to share their views and let their voices be heard. The program will provide a larger platform for station listeners to dialogue with prominent leadership from the political, union and business sectors." The entire program will be streamed live, wwrl1600.com. Prominent guests who will be sharing their viewpoints include Gregory Floyd, President, Teamsters Local 237; Lillian Roberts, Executive Director, District Council 37, AFSCME, AFL-CIO; and Norman Seabrook, President, Correction Officers' Benevolent Association.
