NYPD has issued a Silver Alert in regards to the disappearance of Edith Schneider, an 87-year-old Hispanic female, from the area of Lexington Avenue and East 109th Street in Manhattan. She is described as being 5'5" tall and 150lbs with gray hair and brown eyes. Ms. Schneider also walks with a cane. She was last seen at approximately 5:00PM on 7/28 wearing black pants, a white and pink floral shirt, and glasses. A photo of the missing is available at http://i.imgur.com/TmN1AxE.jpg. Alert issued 7/30/15 at 12:30 AM. The NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services has issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for Bertha Moore-Ladd, a 66-year old black female from Mount Vernon, New York. Ms. Moore-Ladd is described as 5'03" and 135 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She suffers from Alzheimer's and may be in need of medical attention. Health Department Advises New Yorkers to Avoid Certain Ayurvedic Medications Found to Contain Elevated Levels of Arsenic, Lead, and Mercury

The heavy metal content in many of these medications greatly exceeded acceptable limits

The New York City Health Department advises New Yorkers to avoid certain Ayurvedic medications made in India by Shree Baidyanath as they have been found to contain elevated levels of arsenic, lead, and mercury. The levels of heavy metals found in these medications manufactured exceed the limits for arsenic (3 ppm), lead (2 ppm), and/or mercury (1 ppm) for certain food additives as referenced by the Food and Nutrition Board, Institute of Medicine of the National Academies.

Geoffrey Holder exhibition looks to capture 'absolute joy' of Trinidad's 'charisma bomb'

 

He might be most famous for his turn as Baron Samedi in Live and Let Die, but Holder and his wife Carmen de Lavallade were black pioneers in Broadway and ballet who pushed boundaries throughout their careers

While shooting his climactic scene as the menacing Bond villain/voodoo spirit Baron Samedi in Live and Let Die, Geoffrey Holder found himself in a situation that not even he could dance his way out of.

“Geoffrey was an absolute joy, great fun, always very pleasant and happy on set. Though we discovered he had one major phobia: snakes,” recalls Sir Roger Moore, 87, whose 007 sparred with Holder. “That was rather unfortunate, as his character had a death scene where he fell backwards into a coffin full of the slithery beasts. However, it just so happened on the fateful day Princess Alexandra was visiting the set, and Geoffrey knew he couldn’t back out – not in front of royalty.”

He was last seen at approximately 3:00 PM on 7/19 wearing a green t-shirt with a camp anchor patch on the left breast, beige cargo shorts, blue Nike sneakers, and a black hat with "Maryland" written on it. She was last seen on 7/15 at approximately 11:00 PM in the area of Atlantic Avenue and Linwood Street in Brooklyn. Ms. Morales is described at 5'3", 125 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
