New York Students Can Now Attend Any School
New York City is doing for schools what the state did for voting. Students displaced by Hurricane Sandy, or who had their school relocated thanks to the storm, can now attend whatever school they can get to, the Department of Education said on Thursday. The bottom line from schools chancellor Dennis Walcott: "You're able to go to that particular school near where you are living and enroll your child, and we're not going to ask for proof of address at all." Looks like your last Sandy-related break has finally come to an end, kids.
