23rd Annual Black Power "Shut 'Em Down" March & Rally & Evening International Forum focusing on the
Pan African Leaders Fighting Imperialism
New York The December 12th Movement will commemorate the 86th Anniversary of the Birth of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X on Thursday, May 19, 2011. The day will begin with the 23rd annual Black Power "Shut Em Down!" March and Rally at 12:00 PM assembling on 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. All businesses on 125th Street will close from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in honor of our Pan African Hero and Revolutionary, Malcolm X.
An Evening International Forum to Celebrate Malcolm X's Legacy Defending Pan African Leaders Fighting Imperialism will be held at 6:30 PM at the Oberia Dempsey Multi Service Center at 127 W 127th Street, NYC. The forum will focus on developments in Libya and Zimbabwe. Speakers include Viola Plummer, December 12th Movement Chairperson; Dr. Leonard Jeffries, Prof James Smalls, Cde. Coltrane Chimurenga and a message from National of Islam Minister Akbar Muhammad.
