Upcoming Ways to Experience Fort Tryon Park    238th Commemoration of the Battle of Fort Washington    Sunday, November 16    12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.    Cafe Lawn in Fort Tryon Park    This year marks the 238th anniversary of the Battle of Fort  Washington, a key event during the Revolutionary War. Be transported  back in time and learn about your local history.    This event will feature the Brigade of the American Revolution, a  blacksmith demonstration, live 18th-century music, quill writing and  games for kids, author Barnet Schecter, tours of the battle scene by  heroine Margaret Corbin, and historical photos and maps. Prizes will  be given for best children's and best adult's revolutionary war  costume!    BE SURE TO RSVP    Origins of Fort Tryon Park with Sid Horenstein    Wednesday, November 19     6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.    Payson Center in Inwood Hill Park    Dyckman Street one block west of Payson Avenue    Space is limited for this lecture/slide show on the evolution of Fort  Tryon Park with Sidney Horenstein, author, geologist, and Educator  Emeritus from the American Museum of Natural History.
