Citizenship help on offer thru City Council
Immigrants will be able to get help applying for citizenship or deferred action — the new, temporary work and residency permits for young immigrants — at 30 City Council members’ offices starting next month. CUNY’s Citizenship Now! will counsel immigrants on those and other legal issues weekly or monthly at the district offices — including 10 in Queens, nine in Brooklyn, six in the Bronx, three in Manhattan, and two in Staten Island — starting Oct. 1.
