My Dog Loves CPSaturday, October 11: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Naumburg Bandshell (mid-Park at 72nd Street)

You are invited to celebrate Central Park and its dog community! Check out the Family Fun Zone with special activities for young dog owners. Meet Central Park Paws and show your (and your dog’s) love for Central Park.

Halloween ParadeSaturday, October 26: 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Charles A. Dana Discovery Center (inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues)

Join us for Central Park Conservancy’s annual Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Flotilla. Enjoy spooky music, crafts, live pumpkin carving demonstrations, and of course our signature pumpkin flotilla, which sets sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight! Click here to view guidelines for participation.

Bats at Belvedere
Saturday, October 11: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Belvedere Castle (mid-Park at 79th Street)

Learn about bats that dwell in Central Park through an educational presentation featuring live bats. The Organization for Bat Conservation will teach us how to spot and identify our winged friends in their natural surroundings.

Marathon Concert
Sunday, November 2: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Duke Ellington Circle (110th Street between Lenox and Fifth Avenues)

Cheer on marathon runners as they come down the home stretch through Central Park while dancing and enjoying live music by Keith "The Captain" Gamble.

Woodland Walk
Sunday, October 26: 10:00 am & 1:00 pm
Escape from urban life on this insider’s tour of the Ramble, a 38-acre woodland landscape, featuring rustic structures, a magnificent stone arch and the beautiful Oak Bridge. Pre-registration is required.

Hound Hike
Sunday, November 16: 1:00 pm
Bring your canine companion along and enjoy a guided walk among some of the Park’s best known landmarks. Please bring water for you and your dog. Pre-registration is required.

 
Seasonal Tour Highlights by CPC

Marathon Tour
Friday, October 31: 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
See Park highlights that will be in the spotlight on race day, from where the runners enter the Park to the finish line! Route involves moderate inclines. Tickets $15 (Member $10). Buy tickets now.

Memorial Walk Tour
Tuesday, November 11: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Walk through Central Park and see how generations of New Yorkers have used the Park as a place to remember their veterans. Route involves a few stairs. Free.

Hiking Central Park
Saturday, November 15: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Join Central Park Conservancy and the Appalachian Mountain Club on a woodland-to-woodland hike through Central Park's diverse landscapes. Route involves hills, stairs, uneven paths, and wood-chipped trails. Ages 16+. Tickets $15 (Member $10). Buy tickets now.

Discovery Walks for Families
October 12: 10:00 am – 11:30 am | Ramble Woodland
November 9: 10:00 am – 11:30 am |  Turtle Pond

December 7: 10:00 am – 11:30 am |  Harlem Meer

Bring your family for a guided Discovery Walk and take part in hands-on exploration led by Central Park Conservancy educators and Discovery Guides. Families only, maximum of three children per parent or guardian; no groups please. Advance registration required.
Birding for Families
Every Sunday through December 7 (except November 2): 10:00 am – 11:00 am 
Join Conservancy Discovery Guides and NYC Audubon Society experts on this walk to learn how to spot our feathered neighbors and their foreign cousins as they make their trip across the globe. Binoculars can be borrowed from the Dana Discovery Center. Space is limited; arrive early for check in.

Keeping It Green for Families

Enjoy fresh air and hands on learning about all that the Conservancy does to keep the Park beautiful and green. Projects include spreading mulch or raking leaves. Families only, maximum of 3 children per parent/guardian; no groups please. Advance registration required.
