Sherman Hemsley dies at age 74
Sherman Hemsley passed away Tuesday in El Paso, Texas. The television star rose to national fame with his starring role as George Jefferson on "The Jeffersons." Born on Feb. 1, 1938 in Philadelphia Pa., Hemsley became an actor after serving in the air force.
