Egypt Sherrod, TV And Radio Personality, Gives Back During Six-Day Goodwill Drive
Tis the season for holiday cheer and giving back to the community as television and radio host Egypt Sherrod launches her second annual "Egypt's Give Back Tour" this week from Nov. 28 to Dec. 3.
In conjunction with Sherrod's non-profit origination, Egypt's Cares Family Foundation, the six-day coat, toy and fundraising drive will be anchored by a daily five-hour radio live broadcasts [on New York City's 107.5 WBLS-FM and WBLS.com] from locations in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Harlem, Queens and Newark and Plainfield, N.J.
Prior to successfully raising over 8,000 coats and numerous toys during last year's event, Sherrod envisioned using the reach and power that she had to help those in need by broadcasting over New York City's airwaves.
