Participants and friends of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network-NYC,
You are needed. Where will you be on February 26? What will you be doing? Come to a planning meeting of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network-NYC, on February 20, to make plans to reach out and bring people to Feb 26, 2014 HOODIES UP! A Day of Outrage and Remembrance - We Are All Trayvon Martin, The Whole Damn System is Guilty! This will not happen without you.
Were you angered and outraged by the acquittal of George Zimmerman for the modern day lynching of Trayvon Martin? Did you march in the streets the day after Zimmerman walked free? Can you not stand for another youth like Trayvon to be cut down? [Now we have seen from this past Saturday, the mistrial of Michael Dunn, the white man who murdered 17-year-old Jordan Davis after arguing with him over the loud music Davis and his friends were playing in a gas station parking lot in Jacksonville, Florida] If you answered, "yes", to any of these questions, you are needed at this planning meeting.

You can make a difference in making this day the nodal point it needs to be, when people said loudly and clearly, "We refuse to accept open season on Black and Latino youth. We refuse to accept a new normalcy where any racist can look at a Black or Latino youth, blow them away and walk free with the claim that they were 'suspicious'". "We must deliver our own message: we will not stand by in silence as our youth are brutalized, locked up, murdered and more. On Feb 26th, we must say NO MORE! to the criminalization of whole generations of Black and Latino youth." - See more of the Call for February 26 at: http://www.stopmassincarceration.net/content/hoodies
You are needed to make this happen. Come be part of making the plans and putting them into action to spread the word, get on the airwaves, and mobilize people
