Progress in the Fight to Protect the National Landmark Palisades
with a new billboard against LG Electronics

Next time you are driving down West Side Highway near 125th Street
keep a look out for the latest step taken in the fight to protect the
Palisades and the views from Fort Tryon Park. Its natural beauty is in
danger since LG Electronics received permission to build a 143 foot
building in an area that for decades has respected a 35 foot height
cap. Following the success of a similar sign posted in Las Vegas
during the annual Consumer Electronics Show, this billboard alerts New
York and New Jersey commuters that a treasured American landmark is
endangeredthe unbroken sweep of parkland extending for miles north
of the George Washington Bridge.
