Sold for $87,500, an auction record for a work on paper by the artist. Last Thursday's sale of African-American Fine Art set auction records for several artists, including Frank Bowling, Allan Freelon, Palmer Hayden, Felrath Hines and Wadsworth Jarrell. The top lot of the sale was Faith Ringgold's 1988 story quilt, Double Dutch on the Golden Gate Bridge, which brought $209,000. We are now accepting consignments for our next auction of African-American Fine Art in October 2016.
