Dear Friends:
It was with great sadness that I received the news of the passing of the author, professor, intellectual, and activist Dr Robert Curvin this afternoon. He was a lifelong resident of Newark and had a long history in the civil rights movement and the struggle for social justice. He was a humanitarian who was especially committed to the uplift of black people, the poor, and the dispossessed. He was a supporter of the People's Organization For Progress. He was my good friend. He will be sorely missed by myself and many others in this community. Power To The People!
Sincerely, Lawrence Hamm Chairman People's Organization For Progress http://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2015/09
