Postal Manager Arrested for Robbing Post Office
In a scheme that could have used another round of tweaks, a Postal Service manager allegedly robbed a post office on Manhattan's 158th Street at knife-point, but cut the operation short and grabbed $2,000 before fleeing when one of the two workers inside yelled to the other one to call 911. It's not really clear how 40-year-old Ruth Sable thought things would go when she knocked on the door of the closed post office and asked the two employees inside, whom she knew, to let her in to use the bathroom. Police arrested her upstate a few hours after the robbery.
