The Hudson River valley hosts an impressive diversity of bird species, even during the winter months. Join naturalist Gabriel Willow on his birding adventures at Wave Hill and at the Lenoir Preserve in Yonkers, another former estate overlooking the Hudson River. Amble through woodlands and fields to observe the hardy birds that spend the winter in these urban oases. Ages 10 and up welcome with an adult. Registration required, online at www.wavehill.org, by calling (718) 549-3200 x305 or at the Perkins Visitor Center. Severe weather cancels the event.
