Publishing & Publicizing
Your Book
A Workshop for New and Emerging Authors
Technology makes it easy for anyone to publish a book. But the steps a writer needs to take to get that book published and into readers’ hands haven't changed. In addition to writing a book, authors have to find an audience, create a marketing and publicity plan to reach that audience, and decide on the publishing option that suits their needs.
Join us in a presentation designed to introduce you to various types of publishing, from traditional to self-publishing. Get the inside story from authors and publishers who are publishing in today’s competitive market. Learn how to promote and publicize your work in using social media and other marketing tools.

Speakers: Dahlma Llanos Figueroa, Author of Daughters of the Stone; Michael Heath, book coach, Self Publishing, Inc.; Valerie Russo, publicist and social media strategist; Johnny Temple, Akashic Books; Coordinated by Marcia Mayne Book Publicity.
