Join Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe at the ribbon cutting festivities at the new Indian Road Playground in Inwood Hill Park. The new playground includes new ADA compliant play equipment, swings, a sand play area, an open lawn playing area, a spray shower, a dugout canoe feature, a tic-tac-toe panel with images of the three totems, accessible benches and tables, and an accessible drinking fountain. The space is further beautified with new trees, shrubs and landscaping. It will also pay homage to the neighborhood's Native American heritage.
Live music by local performers and children’s activities, including arts and crafts with Native American themes, will begin at 11 a.m. and continue after the ribbon cutting until 2 p.m.
