Quote Of The Day: Pat Robertson Says Planned Parenthood Founder Wants To “Lead Black People Toward Euthanasia” [Video]

Quote Of The Day: Pat Robertson Says Planned Parenthood Founder Wants To “Lead Black People Toward Euthanasia” [Video]

pat robertson

We all know that Patty is a little bat-isht cray cray, but what are your thoughts on this?

According to Huffington Post:

Televangelist Pat Robertson slammed Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger on Wednesday, saying her writings advocated a plan to drive minorities “toward euthanasia.”

“Go back and read her writings,” Robertson said on “The 700 Club.” “What Margaret Sanger believed was there were defective, genetically defective people. They were Roman Catholics, they were evangelical protestants, they were Southern Europeans, they were Latinos and especially, they were African Americans.” Robertson went on to say Sanger wanted to find a “highly respected” leader in those communities to be the spokesman for Planned Parenthood in order to “lead the black people toward euthanasia.”

Robertson also compared Sanger to “the Nazis,” who he said “found people that they thought were defective and they wanted to sterilize them and of course, ultimately murder them.” It’s not the first time Robertson has compared Sanger to Nazis. In April, he said Sanger “set the stage for Adolf Hitler.”

Hmmmm and here’s what Sanger had to say in response to Robertson’s allegations:

The infamous out of context quote that she wanted to find prominent Negro physicians to help with birth control in the South was to counteract Black fears of birth control so that Black women could control their family size just as whites were doing.
These statements by Robertson are part of a long pattern of falsehoods and distortions by the anti-birth control crowd who have no valid arguments against birth control, so they resort to smearing a women who has been dead for a half century.

She did endorse compulsory sterilization in limited circumstances but in general opposed it as much as she opposed compulsory motherhood.

She said: “Compulsory motherhood is the cornerstone of the subjection of women and the subjection of women is the basis of all the evils of over-population. Birth is the woman’s problem, and she must be put in a position to solve it for herself. She must have the right to her own body, and the right to choose when she will bear a child. If this right be made absolutely hers, there will be an end to the bearing of children for whom the world has no room and no opportunities; there will be an end to the bearing of diseased and defective children…”

Don Imus: Jesus Might Have Been Gay [VIDEO]

Don Imus - AttachmentIf Black people got angry when radio host Don Imus referred to players on Rutgers women basketball team as “nappy headed hoes,” after this latest statement, he might have go into the Witness Protection Program.

Speaking with FOX analyst Kirsten Powers, Imus said that according to the “Gospel of Judas Iscariot,” Yashua, a.k.a Joshua, b.k.a. Jesus, may have been homosexual.

Read more from Raw Story:

“You know there’s a Gospel of Judas floating around,” Imus said. “There were hundreds of gospels written, only four made it into the [Bible]. There was the Gospel of Thomas, Mary had a gospel, they all had a gospel. But Judas — there’s some indication there that Jesus may have been gay.”

“Oh, come on,” Powers responded.

“I didn’t write it,’ Imus replied. “Don’t be shooting the messenger here.”

Jim Crow Style: White Mississippi Church Refuses To Marry Black Couple

Charles Wilson and Te’Andrea WilsonThe predominantly White First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, stayed true to it’s Dixiecratic roots by refusing to marry a Black couple after an outcry from the congregation, reports CNN.

Charles Wilson and his now wife Te’Andrea had programs printed with their wedding date of July 21. The couple had already sent out invitations when they were told that they couldn’t be married in the church.

Wilson had been attending the church for about a month, but his wife had been a member for over a year.

“I feel like it was blatant racial discrimination,” said Wilson in a phone interview. “Prior to this, I had been telling people how nice they were here. It makes you reevaluate things.”

See news reports here:

The church’s pastor, Rev. Stan Weatherford, still married the couple, but not in his church.

“I didn’t want to have a controversy within the church and I didn’t want a controversy to effect the wedding of Charles and Te’ Andrea. I wanted to make sure their wedding day was a special day,” said Weatherford, according to WLBT.

Crystal Springs Mayor Sally Garland is allegedly “heartbroken” over the church’s decision because of how it potentially reflects on the town:

“I would hate for a few people to be a reflection of our whole town because it’s not that way,” she said. “We pride ourselves on unity. We don’t want to be known for that.”

Maybe the entire town isn’t like that, but there’s a good chance that the Republican half is. According to a recent study, 29 percent of Republican voters in Mississippi believe that interracial marriage should be illegal.

According to this report, at least some of them definitely live in Crystal Springs.

Gospel Singer James Fortune, Wife Respond To Lawsuit For Child Abuse!

Gospel Singer James Fortune, Wife Respond To Lawsuit For Child Abuse!

James Fortune Child AbuseReports began to surface Monday that the gospel singer James Fortune (pictured) was being sued for a reported $5 million for abusing his then-4-year-old stepson back in 2001 and disfiguring him. Fortune pled guilty to the felony charge of injury to a child and received a six-year deferred adjudication.  Now the biological Father of the victim, who is now 15 years old, wants Fortune to pay for the plastic surgery that could correct the disfigurements, reports My Fox.

According to the lawsuit, the tragic turn of events began when Fortune picked up his wife Cheryl‘s son from preschool.  When the teacher told Fortune that the child misbehaved, he allegedly became infuriated. The man of God reportedly yelled and berated the child for his mischievous behavior, gave him time out, then prepared a scalding bath for him.

The lawsuit, which also names Cheryl, contends that Fortune then demanded that the little boy remove his clothing so that he could “whip the child with a switch.”  The man then forcefully submerged the boy in extremely hot water and held him down.

The boy sustained second- and- third-degree burns over 47 percent of his body.

The child’s injuries were so extensive that he had to be flown to two hospitals for treatment.  The permanently disfigured child remained at a hospital in Galveston, Texas, for 63 days, where he received various skin grafts for his hands, buttocks, genitals, and legs.

Watch the James Fortune’s child abuse case here:

Now, in response to his reignited scandal, the man who believes his mission is to draw lost souls to Christ has issued a response:

I recently became aware of a civil suit pending against my wife, Cheryl Fortune, and I, for an incident that occurred in 2001 involving my stepson. There was a criminal investigation and all matters were resolved in 2003. Since that time, my family and I, including my stepson, have continued with family traditions and always have a loving family environment.

We are shocked by this lawsuit but understand people are free to use the court system to pursue claims, whether they contain merit or baseless matters. We are confident through this process, if it proceeds to a judge or jury, the ultimate decision maker will render a decision that is favorable to the circumstances and timing surrounding this situation. We believe in our American justice system and know it will work for us as it has for millions of other Americans.

I love all my children, including my stepson, and I ask for your prayers as we deal with this matter privately. Thank you for your continued support for me, my family, and ministry.*

Fortune is the former Minister of Music for Houston’s mega-church Higher Dimension.  Besides being a recording artist, Fortune is a songwriter and producer. He and his group Fiya have received multiple Stellar Awards and are recognized for their songs “I Believe” and “I Trust You.”

Watch “I Trust You” here:

The question now remains, why isn’t this monster under a jail and why is Cheryl STILL with him???   Somebody say, “WHAT THE HELL?”

Hemings and Jefferson 'Sealed' by LDS Church?

Hemings and Jefferson 'Sealed' by LDS Church?

Sally Hemings was Thomas Jefferson's most famous slave, and the mother of several of the third American president's children. In a piece for Slate, Max Perry Mueller reports that she was also posthumously baptized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and may be "sealed" in an eternal marriage bond with Jefferson, in the church's view:

From Slate:

On April 21, 1991, two members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints entered a baptismal font. One laid hands upon another and proclaimed, “having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you for and in behalf of Sally Hemings, who is dead.”

Harlem Churches See A Boom Of Tourists Seeking Gospel Music, But Congregants Bristle At Rudeness

Harlem Churches See A Boom Of Tourists Seeking Gospel Music, But Congregants Bristle At Rudeness

NEW YORK -- The stern warning issued from the pulpit was directed at the tourists – most of whom had arrived late – a sea of white faces with guidebooks in hand. They outnumbered the congregation itself: a handful of elderly black men and women wearing suits and dresses and old-fashioned pillbox hats.

"We're hoping that you will remain in place during the preaching of the Gospel," a church member said over the microphone at this Harlem church on a recent Sunday morning. "But if you have to go, go now. Go before the preacher stands to preach."
