| WCBS Radio Uses Old Racist Word 'Yowza' on Air Posted: 01 Jul 2016 08:30 AM PDT Just before 11.11 am report, #WCBS #WCBSnews broadcaster says "yowza!" Don't know her name but as broadcaster came on right after to do the 11:11 report, he said, "Well, that's the first time I've heard 'yowza' on news radio." For me, Yowza is an Amos and Andy type word meaning "yessir" or something like that. A quick Net search turns up line saying it's "considered mildly racist." Funny. If they keep doing that NAACP might raise a fuss. |
