Today, August 1, the New York City Department of Health will be conducting an emergency preparedness drill at 30 New York City Department of Education facilities across New York City to test the delivery of emergency medications. This drill will occur from approximately 6:30 am until 3:00 pm. Supply trucks will be escorted by NYPD and other law enforcement vehicles, and volunteer staff will receive these supplies and set up medication dispensing operations inside these facilities. No medications will be distributed as part of this drill, and there should be no impact to other planned activities in these facilities.
