Youth Violence Prevention Poetry Jam

Express your feelings about violence and its prevention, as well as conflict resolution. Center members can present their poems based on, and inspired by, African American history and experiences. Performers are welcome to present their work in the form of song, rap, talk, or spoken word. Performers will be given up to three minutes to present their work.
The event is family-friendly, so no swearing will be allowed by the presenters. All work will be reviewed prior to the event, and any questionable material will require approval.
