Vulcan Society Urges Minority FDNY Applicants To Submit Proper Paperwork
Members of the Vulcan Society, a fraternal order of black firefighters, went door to door Saturday as part of an effort to diversify the ranks of the Fire Department, and they say several thousand African American applicants haven't finished paperwork that would allow them to avoid fees.
