Vendy Plaza Launches in Harlem!
Did you hear about the summer brunches in El Barrio? Vendy Plaza launched this past weekend, and will be open every Sunday from 12-6pm until September 6th!
The Vendy Awards is bringing their curation of award-winning finalists and newly discovered local vendors to East Harlem’s open-air market space at La Marqueta. Every Sunday find 15-20 food stalls, live music oozing the culture of El Barrio, and a NY Craft Brew Beer Garden featuring a rotation of New York breweries and cider. Indulge in wood-fired pizzas, Luke's Lobster, authentic Lechonera pork from the Bronx, and Solber Pupusas straight out of Red Hook Ballfields.
The cherry on top? Vendy Plaza was born from the long-term, city-backed plan to revitalize La Marqueta in East Harlem and create revenue opportunities for small food businesses as well as bring new and exciting food options to upper Manhattan.
Vendy Plaza is located just off the 6 train along Park Avenue between 115th & 116th Street, under the Metro North Tracks (bonus: rain protection!) For more info, follow #VendyPlaza or @VendyPlaza, and you can also learn more about the project on the organizers website.
